Fatal Attraction - T-Shirt by Mikoto
I love how things just ‘hang around’ on the web.
This isn’t a new design, but one I stumbled across this week, because people I watch had come across it.
Pretty simple stuff – put a match near a bomb and bad things happen!
I think the ‘thick black outline’ works really well here and the skull and crossbones just add the finishing touch.
A cool shirt.

Half a daisy chain
Sometimes it’s nice to try something a little different.
This was inspired by an impromtu mini-challenge on Redbubble, where the winner gets their shirt bought by the judge.
This is a happy shirt, even though it might seem to be a little bit lonely.
The guy’s version would probably have to have real chains and be shaped like an electric drill or a barbecue or something equally ‘male’.
A nice diversion from vectors in any case…

Newtopia - T-Shirt
Follow the yellow brick road to Newtopia.
This was inspired by a challenge on Redbubble, and some info I’d seen recently on reto futurism.
I decided to take a few different influences and mix it up.
The Art Deco buildings came from shapes in plasterwork in a building lobby, and Fritz Lang’s Metropolis probably binds it all together.
The Jetsons play their own part in the towers (or is it Thunderbirds?), and the dream of a better tomorrow leads Dorothy and her friends up the yellow brick road to Newtopia.
Can anyone spot any other influences that may have been subconcious?

Hello? - T-Shirt by SeanSeen
Sometimes simple is best. This shirt design by SeanSeen on Redbubble is a great example.
With all the vectors and digital processing you see on most shirts, it’s nice to see a nice, simple drawing with a really friendly style.
Take a look through the rest of his shirts, and you’ll see the patterns emerge like the yellow filled-in text, and the cute line drawings with minimal colour. These doodles really work well on shirts.

R2 Manual by Reece Ward
Unsurprisingly there’s a lot of Redbubble artists featured in this great list of Star Wars T-Shirts on HideYourArms – even though they clearly missed one
It’s great to see such a big representation from the Redbubble community in the list, and a lot of artists are featured a number of times.
So, here’s a big shout to the mighty Redbubble designers below that featured in the list (forgive me if I missed any):
RubyRed | James Lillis | Reece Ward : biased as I happen to own an R2 manual shirt
| ZAAAAP | wmartins | Geek Chic | popmash | Warren Hart | Cathie Tranent | Lordy99 | Monstar | superiorgraphix | BornOfTheSun | Benj | quigonjim | Mark Wilson | Apasun | Mundy Hacket | Jemma Kamelski | Kerry Ward | Mungo
If they’re tagged right then you’ll find all of Redbubble’s Star Wars t-shirts here…
Add any more you reckon were missed in the comments…

Back when I was a professional racing driver
We all love to dream.
This kid not only has the mean set of wheels, he’s also got the ‘get out of my way’ attitude required to be a great racer.
This great illustrative design by Vandal quite rightly won an ‘automobile’ challenge on Redbubble.

City Monster - B Movie - T-Shirt
This green visitor’s from out of town. He’s hungry.
Monster movies used to be all about suspense and hysteria as a large, unrealistic clay model decended upon a city street. Everything’s computer generated now, and so this is a small homage to the good old days of Japanese monster movies, created for a Redbubble challenge using a limited colour palette (greyscale and one other colour).
The more observant may notice this is actually an American-style city street, but this is the movies!
